Thursday nights we have a short talk or a video on aspects of Diamond Way Buddhism. Topics include Meditation, the Lama, Death and Rebirth, Student/Teacher Relationship, Karma and Mahamudra . This is followed by the 16th Karmapa meditation, a meditation that is designed specifically for western minds whilst retaining all the power of the lineage.
Afterwards you are welcome to stay longer to ask questions and socialize.
If it is your first visit we recommend that you arrive 15 mins early so we can explain the meditation to you and give you some background information. Don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions.
There is no charge to attend.
(an exception is sunday - we start meditate at 6.00pm)
Every night we do the 16th Karmapa meditation together.
If it is your first time we advise you to come on Thursday night as this is our main night of activity where we offer an extensive taste of Buddhism and Meditation. If it is not possible to make it, then you are welcome to come any night.
Come 15 mins early so we can explain the meditation briefly. Also please ring to double check we are at the centre and not all away on a Meditation Course together.
Ngondro is the Foundational Practices of the Karma Kagyu Lineage. It is a set of meditation practices for those who are interested in deepening their meditation practice. Open to those who have attended the 16th Karmapa meditations a few times.
Afterwards we eat a meal together, relax and watch the latest movie out.
