The Christchurch Diamond Way Buddhist Centre is delighted to welcome Sara Finnerty to New Zealand. Sara will give a public lecture at the Mount Pleasant Centre and at our centre in North Linwood

Programme:

Thursday 25 May

Event: Public lecture - "Meditation - Working with our potential"

Time: 7pm-9pm

Venue: Mount Pleasant Centre, 3 McCormacks Bay Rd, Mount Pleasant

Sara will also be available to answer questions and will lead a meditation at the end of the talk.

Friday 26 May

Event: Lecture - "Disturbing emotions – The Source of Liberating Wisdom"

Time: 8pm

Venue: Christchruch Buddhist Centre, 220 England Street, North Linwood

There will be a dinner at the Centre at 6:30pm before the lecture, cost $8.

Saturday 27 May

Event 1: Visit to Glentui Retreat land, meditation and lecture - "The 16th Karmapa meditation"

Time: Leave Chrirstchurch centre at 10am with brunch at Artisan Bakery at Rangiora on the way to Glentui.

Meditation at Glentui 11:30am

Lecture at Glentui 12:00pm

Event 2: Lecture - "The relationship between teacher and student in Diamond Way Buddhism"

Time: 8pm

Venue: Christchruch Buddhist Centre, 220 England Street, North Linwood

There will be a dinner at the Centre at 6:30pm before the lecture, cost $8.

Sunday 28 May

Event: Lecture - "Love and Partnership from the Buddhist View"

Time: 5pm

Venue: Christchruch Buddhist Centre, 220 England Street, North Linwood

There will be a brunch at the Centre at 10am for cost $8 followed by a Diamond Mind meditation at 11am.

At 1pm there will be a presentation on the history of Diamond Way Buddhism in New Zealad before the lecture.

After the lecture there will be dinner at the centre at 7pm, cost $8 followed by a presentation or a movie.

About Sara

Sara Finnerty was born in Wyoming, USA. As a University student in San Fransisco she met and took refuge with Lama Ole Nydahl (http://lama-ole-nydahl.org) in 1991. She has helped start and has lived in Diamond Way Centres since 1993 in California, Texas, New Mexico and Nevada. At Lama Ole's request, she has been travelling teaching at Diamond Way Buddhist Centres.
